  The room I stayed in is poorly kept. There are signs of mold, spider webs and two beams which are at head height. The mattress on the double bed you can feel the springs through and there is not sufficient heating to heat the room properly, as there were one fan heater and convector heater in the room - which are known to be a huge fire hazard.

  The staff member we meet was great. Unfortunately the facilities are poor. There is no fence on the edge of the canal leading to the family guest room where we stayed with our 2 year old Son, it is especially dangerous in the icy conditions. The room was freezing cold, when we asked how to heat it, the staff member showed us where we would find a fan heater and convector heater which when we went out and slept were unable to leave on as they are a fire hazard. There was one electric radiator on the wall but this didn't make any difference to the room temperature. When we asked about the breakfast included we were kindly shown where this is. It was in our room on the fridge, two weetabixs, 1 travel pack of corn flakes, two rolls. In the fridge we had two pieces of fruit, a slide of ham, cheese (in a topperware box) and a pint of milk. The bathroom was dirty, sign of mold, the sink had a crack running through it and there were cobwebs. The double bed was old and tired, we hardly slept and woke with a back ache. Overall this was not worth the cost of £80 per night. Very disappointing.
